Google launches Google Wallet for Android

ShoutBloger: Digital financial transaction services, Google Wallet, finally released officially for Android. Google Nexus S 4G users in the United States that runs on the Sprint network, the first time will enjoy this service.

Google Wallet technology using Near Field Communication (NFC) is embedded in mobile phones. Previously, Google Wallet service has been tested extensively before it is now finally launched to the public.

Quoted from Computerworld on Tuesday September 20, 2011, Google Wallet application is available for your Citi MasterCard credit card holders. Then the user will be visited Visa, and American Express Discover.

To use, Google Nexus S users in U.S enough to find Wallet application, then download it. As a means of payment, users simply put the handset on the existing payment terminals in various locations of transactions, such as stores or supermarkets.

MasterCard itself has about 144 thousand terminals across the U.S. that allows transactions using Google Wallet Android. When using it, the payment will automatically be charged to your credit card.

This is just the beginning and although we are interested in this first step, we look forward to bringing Google Wallet on more devices in the future, said Osama Bedier, vice president of Google Payments.

Not yet clear when the Google Wallet will be visited areas other than the U.S. In the UK, Google Wallet will reportedly be released in the near future anyway.
