Nintendo 3DS price drop announced, the sales jumped up to 260%

ShoutBloger: Nintendo stated that the parties Nintendo 3DS console sales experience surge of 260 percent, after earlier getting a price drop on 12 August.

As quoted from SlashGear on Friday September 9, 2011, the National Purchase Diary (NPD) Group states those sales of Nintendo 3DS in the United States surged more than 260%. These mean the same percentage with 3DS sold 185 thousand units.

This news apparently quite startling variety of parties, because previously many third-party stating that sales had fallen sharply 3DS.

In Japan where price-cutting done several days earlier than in the U.S., there are approximately 215 thousand units sold between August 8 to August 14.

Even the surge has also put 3DS sales position well above the previous series, the Nintendo 3DS. In August, Nintendo has sold approximately 16 thousand units of the 3DS, as 190 thousand Nintendo Wii U consoles.

Currently the Nintendo put great hopes on the Nintendo 3DS Flame Red to be launched this weekend. 3DS Flame Red will also be launched simultaneously with Star Fox 64 3D.

In early August, the president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, apologized to consumers because it has ignored the 3DS and focus on Nintendo platforms other more popular.
