Sony Launches Music Streaming Service on Your PSP

ShoutBloger: Music Unlimited, cloud based music streaming service by Sony. On April 14, 2011 Qriocity supported services will be present also on the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Offering the most important here is, just with one account you can access music on TV, PS3, Blu-ray player, and now PlayStation Portable (PSP). The music will accompany you anywhere with any device. So no need to download all the songs to a device and take it wherever you go, said Executive Vice President and CEO of Sony Network Entertainment Shawn Layden.

Qriocity itself, which is the trade name for Sony music service, similar to Amazon digital content storage which was launched in last March. This cloud based service offers a single log in ID and wallet solution to allow users to use content, including music, video and ebook content on various devices integrated with each other.

The idea is to make your PlayStation ID allows you to sign in anywhere anytime, and allow it to sell digital objects from the same account, said Layden as quoted by PC World on Sunday April 10, 2011.

Music Unlimited services have previously been present on TV, laptop, Blu-Ray player and PlayStation 3. Starting next week, about six million digital music files in Music Unlimited PSP users can also be accessed via WiFi.

Need to PlayStation Network account to be able to access it and the device must running the latest firmware update, version 6.3.7. The service is priced at USD 3.99 per month and $ 9.99 per month for premium features.

Music Unlimited is also scheduled to attend in the latest Sony Android devices, including Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and Sony NGP.
