LTE itself is a technology that supports the carrier bandwidth, from 20 MHz down to 1.4 MHz. The main advantages with LTE is throughput high, low latency, plug and play, FDD and TDD on the same platform, all of which affect the low operating costs.
iPhone 5 will certainly be a potentially terminal supporting LTE TDD and FDD, said Bill Huang, General Manager of China Mobile Research Institute, as quoted by Softpedia on Friday October 28, 2011.
In addition, some industry experts in Taiwan also agreed and said that Nokia, Apple, RIM and Sony Ericsson are expected to simultaneously use the LTE in the next year.
