Apple iPad 2 Launch in Asia Attract Thousands of Customers

ShoutBloger: Apple iPad 2 launch in Asia attract thousands of customers, who are interested want to be the first to officially purchase of Apple iPad 2 tablet in their country.

After spending the international launch last month because of a devastating natural disaster, Japan on Thursday became the first Asian country to begin selling Apple iPad 2. According to The Wall Street Journal on Sunday May 01, 2011 long queues for Apple iPad 2 at the retail Apple Store Ginza in Tokyo stretched for three blocks.

Customers in the first line has been waiting since 8 pm, they are even willing to sleep on the streets until a heavy rain.

Apple iPad 2 in Japan began with the price of 44,800 yen, or approximately USD549, the same price with the first generation of Apple iPad when the went on sale last year.

At one store in Hong Kong, more than 400 customers are also welcomed the rain on Friday to buy Apple iPad 2. A long queue winding around the Apple store in a shopping center in central cities with several groups of other buyers, reports the Associated Foreign Press.

Meanwhile, at the official Apple store in Singapore, only 100 devices are available for sale, while 100 customers invited to march in the middle of the night in the shop KT in Seoul, South Korea.

Hong Kong has seen the share of excitement this week, as white iPhone 4 was launched there on Thursday and reportedly sold out within an hour.

Apple announced on Wednesday that the Apple iPad 2 will make its debut in Asia starting in Japan, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and United Arab Emirates this week. Apple iPad 2 will be sold in China on May 6.
